The OTHER Economic Summit, TOES - 90, Houston, July 6 - 8, 1990
Financial Policy vs. the Environment
A sense of public values and national priorities needs to be restored to the financial system, and protecting the natural environment should rank high among those values and priorities. Currently, we have a financial system that is uniquely protected by the public, yet largely untouched by the society's environmental mandate. The purpose of this workshop is to a) examine the impact of the financial marketplace on agriculture and natural resources, and b) address the domestic and international policy implications of the finance-environment link.
